DES 309 Final Project
Our course had the opportunity to build designs that would be installed at the Thinkery (Austin’s local children’s museum) for a day. Before we began any prototyping or building we were able to attend a day at the Thinkery and observe any problems that needed solutions. I realized while we were there that the Thinkery explored nearly all the senses except for sound.
Our team conducted research concerning child development and audio exploration. After conducting research we built a fully functioning prototype that produced light when audio was detected through a microphone setup. We were able to do this using a raspberry pi computer chip and free sourced code.
